Forget-me-not, Field (myosotis arvensis) 
   
B.  Very pretty, tiny blue flowers with yellow centres.  Masses of them!  Self-seed everywhere to great effect.  Ht about 18 ins.  Flowers in spring.  More info

Goat's Rue (galega officinalis) 
   
P.  Fern-like foliage and masses of lilac flowers that look a cross between a Lupin and a Sweet Pea!  Ht to 5 ft.  Has some herbal uses.  More info

Gypsophilia fastigiata "Silver Star" 
   

P.  Also known as Baby's breath.  This is a small, clump-forming version with thing grey-green leaves and sprays of tiny white flowers. 

Hardy Gloxinia (incarvillea) 
   

P.  Don't really know a lot about this plant as the tubers were given to us and which variety of incarvillea they are is not clear.  However, it is also known as Flowering Fern and Chinese Trumpet Flower.  It has dark green divided foliage and thick stems from which emerge large, elongated tubular pink flowers.  Ht 1 ft (30 cm).

Hollyhock (alcea rosea) 
   

B.  Large leaves and masses of large multi-coloured flowers in this Sawyer's mix of plants.  Ht about 6 ft.  Typical cottage garden plant.  Also has medicinal properties.  More info

Jacob's Ladder (polemonium caeruleum) 
   
P.  H.  WF.  Fern-like leaves and stems topped with pretty mauve or white flowers.  Forms a good-sized clump.  Ht about  2 t (60 cm).  Flowers June to August.  Sun or shade.  Prefers damp.
