Fox and Cubs (hieracium aurantiacum) 
   
Also known as Fox and Cubs.  HP.  Ht 9 ins (23 cm).  Gorgeous vivid orange dandelion like flowers on thin stems.  Leaves form a large basal rosette.  Spreads.  Sun, any soil.  More info

Globe Flower (trollius europaeus) 
   

P.  Round, globular yellow flowers from June to August.  Likes moist soil so good for pond edge or damp areas.  Good bee plant.  Sun or partial shade.  Used to be used for decorating cottages and churches.  More info



Goat's Rue (galega officinalis) 
   
P.  Also known as French Lilac.  Ht 2 - 5 ft.  Large stems of many lilac pea-like flowers.  High in nitrogen so makes a good green manure when dug back into the soil.  Herbal uses.  Flowers June to September.  More info

Great Hairy Willowherb (epilobium hirsutum) 
   

P.  Also known as Codlins and Cream.  Fond by riversides and on marshes.  Ht 3 - 6 ft.  Pink flowers, very similar to Rosebay Willowherb.  Moist damp soil.  More info

Greater Knapweed (centaurea scabiosa) 
   
P.  Large purple-red flowers June to September.  Good butterfly plant.  Ht to about 3 ft (90 cm).  Flowers in summer.  More info

Ground Ivy (glechoma hederacea) 
   

P.  Creeping wildflower with pretty mauve flowers from April to June.  has many folk names such as Hedgemaids and Gill-go-over-the-ground.  Ideal for under hedges or other shady areas.  Provides good ground cover.  More info

Herb Bennet (geum urbanum) 
   

P.  H.  Also known as Wood Avens.  Tiny yellow flowers in summer followed by purple fruits covered in hooked bristles.  Ht 8 - 24 ins (20 - 60 cm).  Found in woodland, wasteland and hedgerows.  Food plant of the Riband Wave moth.  Moist shade.  More info



Herb Robert (geranium robertianum) 
   

HP.  H.  Ht 9 - 15 ins.  Found in the wild in woods, hedgerows and grassland.  Food plant of bees, long-tongued hoverflies and small insects.  Plant in shade or partial shade for best results - too much sun turns the leaves red.  Self-seeds well.  Price reduced to clear.



Ivy-leaved Toadflax (cymbalaria muralis) 
   
P.  Creeping, trailing wildflower with pretty mauve and white flowers.  Good for baskets or creeping in amongst other plants.  More info

Kidney Vetch (anthyllis vulneraria) 
   

P.  Pinnate leaves and yellow pea-like flowers from May to September.  Found in grassland, dunes, cliffs and rock ledges.  More info



Lady's Bedstraw (gallium verum) 
   

P.  Tiny, yellow, honey-scented flowers, and thin, green leaves.  Flowers were used in coagulating milk instead of rennet.  Dye plant.  Was often used  as a stuffing in pillows and mattresses.  Flowers June to August.  Spreads.  Attracts the following moths - Hummingbird Hawk, Small Elephant Hawk, Gallium Carpet, Plain Wave, Riband Wave, Bedstraw hawk, Archer's Dart, Red Chestnut, Ruddy Carpet, Royal Mantle, Common Carpet, Water Carpet, Beech Green Carpet, Red Twin-spot Carpet.  Herbal uses.  More info
