Scabious "Chile Black" 
   

P.  Typical Scabious pin-cushion flowers in a deep maroon almost black colour.  Very striking.  Height about 4 ft.  Forms a good-sized clump.  Sun.

Sea Holly (eryngium planum) 
   

P.  Blue-green spiky flowers, very striking.

Strawberry "Pink Panda" 
   

P.  Ornamental strawberry and good for ground cover.  Bright pink flowers and small edible fruits - although the plant is grown more for its pretty ornamental value than the few fruits produced.  Cross between a strawberry and a potentilla.  Provides good ground cover.  Sun or partial shade.  (Only 3 x 9 cm pots left)

Sweet Pea "Midnight" (lathyrus odoratus) 
   

HA.  Climber.  Maroon-red, almost black flowers.  Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering.

Sweet Pea "Orange Dragon" (lathyrus odoratus) 
   

HA.  Climber.  Bright orange-red flowers which do not discolour if kept out of full sun.  Soft fragrance.  Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering.

Sweet Pea "Snoopea" (lathyrus odoratus) 
   

HA.  Not a climbing Sweet Pea but one which srambles and carpets the ground with vivid colour.  Ht 30 cm.  Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering.

Sweet Rocket (hesperis matronalis) 
   
HP.  Fragrant plant, attracting moths.  Traditional cottage garden plant.  Ht 2 - 3 ft (60 - 92 cm). Butterfly plant and food plant of Orange-tip and Green-veined butterfly caterpillars.  Flowers June to September.  Thrives best in light shade.  More info

White Horehound (marrubium vulgare) 
   

HP.  H.  WF.  Square stems and grey-green, downy leaves with whorls of white flowers.  Was a common cottage garden plant in many places because of its usefulness in treating coughs.  Ht 2 ft (60 cm).

Woolly Foxglove (digitalis lanata) 
   

P.  Ht 2 ft (60 cm).  Yellow flowers.  Also known as Grecian Foxglove.  Bee and butterfly plant.  This is the Foxglove grown commercially for Digoxin.  Leaves are much thinner than common Foxglove leaves and dark green.  More info

Yarrow - "Summer Pastels"(achillea millefolium) 
   

F2 Summer Pastels - HP.  Ht 2 ft (60 cm).  Flat panicles of tiny flowers in many pastel shades.  Cultivated version of the wild white Yarrow.  More info
