Sweet Pea "Painted Lady"

Climber.  Strongly scented pinka dn white flowers.  Dates back to the 18th century.  2 plants per pot.

Sweet Rocket (hesperis matronalis)

P.  Velvety leaves and masses of lilac or white flowers.  Flowers June to September.  Ht around 3 ft. 

 

 

Sweet William (dianthus barbatus)

B.  Masses of stems with a mix of flowers - very good for bees.

Verbena bonariensis

P.  Also known as Purple-top Vervain.  Excellent butterfly plant.  Tall stems with clusters of purple flowers.  Look good dotted amongst other border plants.

 

 

 

Weigela foliis Purpurea

P.  deciduous shruib with purple-green leaves and pink bell-shaped flowers in early summer.  fast-growing.  ht about 1.5 m.

 

 

 

Woolly Foxglove (digitalis lanata)

B.  Thin leaves and stems full of nodding beigey-coloured Foxglove flowers.  Flowers are smaller than those of the Wild Foxglove.  Excellent bee plant!  Likes shade or sun. CAUTION - TOXIC IF EATEN.
