Wedding Favours
Packets of wild flower seeds or herb seeds make unusual wedding favours (can also be used for christenings or anniversaries!). Being seeds they also ensure that your wedding day is remembered for a long time, as when the seeds germinate and grow into beautiful flowers they are a permanent reminder in someone's garden. As most wildflowers and herbs are attractive to butterflies and bees these wedding favours will also be doing their bit for wildlife! Please click on the links below to see samples - these can be adapted in any way you wish. You can also choose almost any wildflower you wish or one of four mixtures - seeds for butterflies, seeds for bees, meadow seeds, or cornfield annuals (Poppies, Cornflowers and Corn Marigolds). Particularly popular are our butterfly and bee packets, sunflowers and individual herbs of Rosemary, Thyme and Lavender. Subject to availability, a dried flower can be put on each seed packet, relevant to the seeds included, at no extra cost, instead of a photo. Sowing instructions are included inside the packets for those without instructions on the front. List of seeds included in the mixes is also included in relevant packets.

Price per packet is £1.95 up to 50 packets. Price reduces to £1.75 for 51 or more packets. Two or three weeks' notice at least would be required - although we can get them ready in a few days if necessary!.

Seeds to attract bees
Seed packets can also be ordered un-personalised, without your wedding details. This enables you to create, perhaps, your own personalised container for them. These cost £1.85 each for up to 50 and £1.65 each for 51 or more. Please see ordering details below. Example.
Handmade paper samples
These favours have the seed packet inside a handmade paper card, tied with ribbon. Prices for these are £2.50 for up to 50 and £2.25 each for 51+. Again, these can be adapted in any way you wish - eg, ribbon colour, wording, seed packet etc. To view a sample, please click here.
Potted Wildflowers and Herbs as Wedding Favours
An alternative wedding favour is a small herb or wildflower in a pot - price per 7 cm pot is £1.10. Notice of a few months is required if you want potted wedding favours as these will be grown to order, unless we happen to have enough in stock for your requirements. The pots are square black plastic and the plants are in peat-free compost. The pots can be made more attractive by tying ribbon bows round them, wrapping them in fancy cellophane or transferring the plant or pot to a metal or teracotta pot.

These favours consist of a galvanised bucket, a pack of peat-free compost, seeds (of your choice) and a label - everything your guests need to get them started! So there's no excuse, even if they are not gardeners! Tied to the bucket with a ribbon is a handmade piece of paper with the words "In celebration of the wedding of ...." and the date. The label inside the pots can be on any colour card you wish (the ribbon can also be a colour of choice) to fit in with your theme and will detail the name of the seeds and the words "Please plant these seeds in your garden as a reminder of our special day!" - or wording to that effect, whatever you like! The seeds are enclosed in a handmade paper wallet.
We can supply the metal galvanised pots for the bargain price of £1.00 each. These are 8.5 cm high and can be ordered with or without the plants. Please phone 01227 730242, or order online via the shop.
Or Seeds in a Bag
A lavender-coloured hessian bag, filled with some lavender tissue paper, upon which sits a packet of seeds in the style of the samples on this website, or to your own design. Heart confetti will also be sprinkled inside. Tied to the handle of the bag by a ribbon is a card detailing your wedding (In Celebration of the Wedding of . . . . on . . . .). The card and ribbon can be of a colour of your choice. The seed packets will have a picture and the name of the seeds, sowing instructions inside the packet.
