Perennial cottage garden flower with pink flowers and silvery woolly leaves, which have an apple scent. Grows to about 2 ft (60 cm) and can spread rapidly. Also known as Woolly Hedgenettle. Bee plant. Was used during the American Civil War to bandage soldiers' wounds.
Drought-tolerant. Doesn't mind clay soil. Trim back in spring. Cut spent flowerheads to keep tidy.
