Also known as Chinese Trumpet Flower and Flowering Fern. Hardy perennial, native to China and Turkestan. Dark green divided leaves and elongated pink trumpet flowers in summer. Height 1 ft (30 cm).
Named after Pierre d'Incarville, and eighteenth century Jesuit priest.
Plant in sun or shade, moist, well-drained soil. Provide constant moisture whilst in bloom. Deadheading will encourage more blooms. Good drainage required during winter. Protect young growth from slugs.
